Meet the Captain
Captain Joe Bleczinski is a U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Master – 50 Ton Certified Captain with over 45 years of ocean experience as a fisherman and lobsterman, including the last 20 years working the waters of Rhode Island.
Captain Joe is dedicated to providing guests with a safe, enjoyable, and productive day on the water. His vessel is a 28-foot Steiger Craft powered by twin Mercury 300HP engines, allowing you to reach the fishing grounds quickly and comfortably.
All tackle is provided, though guests are always welcome to bring their own gear. Join Captain Joe for a memorable day of fishing along the Rhode Island coast—an experience filled with great stories, lasting memories, and hopefully a fresh catch for dinner.
Billing and Trip Information
Trip Duration
Trips run 4 or 6 hours.

Cost and Charges
4 Hour Trip: $600
6 Hour Trip: $800
*There may be a 4% fuel surcharge depending on cost of fuel.
Departure Times
Charters depart between 6am to 7am, or afternoons.
Capacity
Our vessel, Lady Karen, can accommodate up to 4 fishermen.
4 Hour Trip Destination
The 4 Hour trip's destination is in between the areas of Block Island and our port of Galilee, RI. There you can fish for species such as, Fluke, Sea Bass, Scup, Bluefish, Stripers, and when in season, False Albacore and Bonito.
The ride to these fishing ground is approximately 20 to 25 minutes.
6 Hour Trip Destination
The 6 Hour trip's destination, weather permiting, will be to the South or West side of Block Island. There you can fish for Fluke, Sea Bass, Scup, Bluefish, and Stripers.
The wind farm is clearly visible and fishable under the right conditions. We can occasionally see Dolphin and Whales on the 35 minute run to the Island.
Deposits & Payments
A $300 deposit is required for each trip with the remainder due at the boat the day of the charter.
Payments can be made by cash only.
Captain Cancellations
In the event of a cancellation by the Captain for weather related or other circumstances, the deposit can be put towards another mutual charter date or refunded.
If the customer cancels the trip or fails to show up 1 Hour past scheduled departure time, deposit may be forfeited.
